Tepoztlan Greets Us

So here we are, renting a house in Tepoztlan with our daughter, son in law and granddaughter.  It is quite an adjustment from the faster pace of life in the D.C. area, but that is one of the reasons we came, to enjoy life at a slower pace.
My first impression as we walk around the town is that the people here are very friendly.  We are greeted by everyone we encounter with “Buenos Dias!”, and we return the greeting!  As we make our way through the marketplace the smells of food cooking swirl around us.  The sight is colorful and the market is full of life! People call out the wares they are selling.  Every sense is stimulated as we taste our first freshly made tortillas and drink the freshly squeezed fruit juices.  There is nothing artificial about this place or the people.
I am excited about continuing to share our thoughts, feelings, and experiences with a broader audience, and maybe along the way, we may be able to help others who are contemplating a move like this. We’d like to welcome you along on our adventure!

Hi Anita,
A wonderful scene you describe, makes me very hungry. Kind of sounds like a vacation spot where one might retire 😉
